Crew B66 elevation notes
What changed
- Structure remains round 2. This pass changes hierarchy, material, object weight, and motion language only.
- The reference transfer is selective: one dominant subject, extreme type scale, physical objects, meaningful type events, restrained completion spectacle, and depth from warm light come across. Cosmic darkness, translucent refraction, metallic balloon type, iridescence, and cinematic noise stay out.
- Paper, warm ink, wood, weather, and the shipped pixel art remain Crew's material language. The fibre marks are sparse one-pixel ink flecks below 3 percent visual contrast.
- Hairlines appear only where two surfaces touch or where tabular content needs a rule. Elevation, not repeated boxes, carries most grouping.
Surface decisions
Launch
The wordmark is the only subject during app-open. A warm launch settles for 220ms and cuts directly to the first usable village frame. A cold launch holds the same honest wordmark field until state is ready, then cuts to the village. It adds no progress fiction.
Village
The production village image is untouched. Creatures carry the artifacts they made. Smoke, pond rings, grass, and a wind term run on independent phases, and the world layer receives a small parallax offset. No persistent label claims that work is running.
Voice
The user's sentence becomes the visual subject at 38pt, with an 11pt eyebrow. A dim final word shows the reveal in progress. The white capsule means listening and the green capsule means being heard. The waveform remains centred at 11 bars, 4pt per bar, 4pt gaps, 32pt peak, and 84pt total width inside the unchanged 229 by 56pt capsule. The 12pt rounded square at the trailing edge says stop. The full capsule is the 229 by 56pt hit target and its accessibility label is Tap to end call.
Result
The complete annual-plan answer is present with all four comparison rows and one decision. The sheet uses intrinsic content height, keeps the village visible above, and has a permanent 44 by 44pt close control. A semantic strike says what Leo removed from the user's workload. The creature emitting paper slips is the frozen completion frame, not a recurring decoration.
Shelf D
The round 2 open-in-place structure is unchanged: one vertical scroll, pinned return control, content swapping in one filter, and inline expansion in the same scroll. Pixel objects are larger, individually rotated, unboxed, and grounded with contact plus ambient shadow. The warm object palette belongs to the illustrated artifacts, not the UI action system.
The D versus E form choice is still Fares's. This pass treats D as the working shelf only so the craft direction can be judged without settling that product choice.
Type, radius, colour, and depth
- Type stack: Schibsted Grotesk with system UI fallback. Native form controls explicitly inherit it.
- Headline range: 34pt to 76pt with negative tracking tied to scale. Eyebrows are 11pt uppercase at 0.06em to 0.08em tracking.
- Numeric alignment is limited to counters, prices, durations, and time. Prose remains proportional.
- Radius scale: 8, 14, 20, and 28pt. The 47pt phone bezel is hardware framing, not a product radius.
- Elevation 1:
0 1px 2px rgba(32,36,30,.05), 0 4px 10px rgba(32,36,30,.07). - Elevation 2:
0 1px 2px rgba(32,36,30,.04), 0 10px 22px rgba(32,36,30,.10). - Elevation 3:
0 1px 3px rgba(32,36,30,.05), 0 18px 34px rgba(32,36,30,.14). - One UI accent:
#00B14F. It is reserved for the single primary decision or the being-heard voice state. Warm artifact pigments do not act as UI accents. - Light and dark themes use the same hierarchy and geometry. Dark mode changes paper, ink, boundaries, and shadow density without changing the product grammar.
Purpose-named motion
LaunchSettle: app-open only. 220ms platform-style settle from 0.97 scale and 8pt lower, followed by a cut to usable Home. Cold launch holds the field until data is ready.WorldDepth: finger-driven village parallax. Interruptible spring, response 0.42, damping 0.88, seeded with release velocity. Background moves up to 2pt while foreground creatures move up to 5pt.VillageWeather: ambient loops only. Smoke 7.6s at alpha 0.34, pond 9.4s at alpha 0.42, grass 11.8s at alpha 0.46, and wind 8.2s. Phase offsets keep them from pulsing together.VoiceAmplitude: audio-driven scale for the 11 waveform bars, not a canned loop in product. The capsule colour follows the listening versus being-heard state with the platform default transition.AnswerCommit: headline words reveal every 44ms.ResultRiseis an interruptible spring, response 0.38, damping 0.86, seeded with release velocity when dragged.MadeThingLanding: completion-only. A made thing leaves the creature on an arc with seeded velocity and per-event rotation and scale, then lands with an interruptible spring, response 0.46, damping 0.78. It never fires on ordinary navigation.InlineOpen: Shelf D expansion. Interruptible spring, response 0.42, damping 0.88, seeded from the tap release so the remaining rows move as one continuous paper stack.- Reduce Motion replaces spatial travel, tumbling, parallax, and word staging with a short cross-fade. Ambient loops stop.
Constraint check
- No stations in the village: only the existing cottage, pond, trees, grass, real creatures, and temporary carried artifacts appear.
- Entry and Messages: Made things is top-left and Messages remains top-right.
- Result height: the result is intrinsic full-content height with the complete recommendation and all four rows.
- Voice control: one 229 by 56pt capsule holds both states and ends the call; there is no second call-ending control.
- Creature source: every creature is the shipped
../assets/creature.pngfile. - Village source: every village frame is the shipped
../assets/village-day.pngfile.
Round 3b fixes
- D1, Shelf D: the collection scroll now stops 104pt above the phone bottom, reserves a 140pt bottom inset, and passes through six stepped paper-opacity bands before the pinned action. The action starts 18pt below the scroll viewport. The
1 of 6counter has a fixed 12pt line box, with 10pt between it and the action and 2pt before the home indicator. - D2, Result: dark surfaces now use
--secondary-on-dark:#C8C2B7at 8.60:1 and--tertiary-on-dark:#AAA69Bat 6.27:1 against#22271F. The dark recommendation, price digits, supporting copy, eyebrow, reveal word, and table labels use those branches. Light values are unchanged. - D3, Village width: the world container now uses a zero inset and no horizontal translation. The 1.012 image scale is vertical-only, so the parallax layer keeps its depth while every horizontal layer remains exactly 373pt wide.
- D4, Village artifacts: both temporary carried outputs are now hard-edged pixel objects with warm block detail, individual rotation, and separate contact and ambient shadows. The village image and creature sprite are unchanged.
- D5, Launch width: the usable-village frame now keeps its 1.012 scale vertical-only with a centred bottom origin, so every horizontal layer remains exactly 373pt wide in both themes.
